Eaglesglen – I am really happy with this horse. He has done some very pleasing fast work on the turf and the wind op seems to have really helped him. All being well I feel he could be very well handicapped. Although we have always said he would be better on the turf, there aren’t any races for him in early April so we could start him at Chelmsford on April 1 in a 46-65 over 1m2f. The same course and distance he won over. This is jack riding him this morning on the racecourse gallop he went very well and jack said he felt great
19.03.2021
Rogue Bear – I am really happy with how this horse is training. He looks to be on side mentally and has already shown that he has a lot of ability. He has worked nicely on the Cambridge Road and this is him working on the race course gallop this morning. He looked very special and was working with a very nice horse, it wasn't a hard gallop but was to further his education on the turf. I would hope he will be ready to make his debut middle April all being well. At this stage 6 or an easy 7 furlongs looks like being a good starting point.
19.03.2021
Sugauli – This horse has done really well physically and weighs nearly 500kg. He is enthusiastic in his canters and this was his first bit of fast work. I would hope to have him on the track at the end of April/early May when the program opens out and there are more options for him. This horse could be anything! he does it so easy and looks to have real potential this season
19.03.2021
Cash Machine (far side) – He is a real bull of a horse – he weighs 515kg - and I am really happy with his condition. He is very playful out and up to doing two canters, he finds his work easy. He is moving well and I’m very excited after watching his first bit of fast work today . He has a lovely pedigree and is a really exciting horse to look forward to. It was also great to see Popmaster who beat him on debut run a lovely race in a decent Class 3 handicap last week.
19.03.2021
Rogue Power (far side)– He looks well and this is his first bit of fast work after his winter break, He went really well and has strengthened, He did some nice work at the end of last summer so I would hope he will show promise again this spring. He is a good looking colt with a solid temperament – being by Pivotal, he should continue to improve as the season goes on and is another lovely prospect the Rogues.
19.03.2021 - Update from Tom.
Crimewave – He seems in great form and is fresh and well at exercise. He loves this time of year and looks really well. There aren’t that many options for him – the two I can see are Wolverhampton 30/3 Cl4 66-85 1m1f104ys or Lingfield 10/4 76-90 1m2f. I would probably consider waiting for Lingfield as he has shown his best form there. We can always enter at Wolverhampton and see if it looks an easy option.
Rogue Assassin – He has done 3 pieces of fast work on the Cambridge Road and has gone well. We feel that 6f furlongs on soft turf could be his optimum conditions - there aren’t any races for him in early April but there are options from the middle of the month. Based on his homework and form early last season there are races in this horse and I think he could be a lot fun for the team this season.
El Picaro – I was really pleased with this horses debut – despite being colty and running green, he did some really good racing and finished strongly. He was gelded a couple of days after the race and is back cantering. If his castration continues to heal well, he could be back on the track in mid-April or sooner. He is a lovely big horse who has ability and I feel he has a good future.
Rogue Missile – A lovely attractive filly with plenty of size and scope (she weighs 498kg) She has benefitted from an easy time in the winter and is moving well now. She’s well in herself and will do her first bit of fast work next week – I am looking forward to seeing how she progress’s as we step up her work in the next couple of weeks.
The Guvnor – He has come out of his race at Wolverhampton really well – I was delighted to see him travel better for Laura and show up well in what was a competitive novice over an inferior trip. As he is not three until May, I would expect him to continue to strengthen as the season goes on and am really looking forward to running him over further on the turf. I thought his mark of 66 was very workable. There are a couple of options for him at the end of next month – 25/4 Wetherby 51-70 1m6f or 28/4 Chelmsford 56-75 2m. Two miles is a long way for 3yos to go that early on in their career, especially as we said he isn’t yet three. But it’s an interesting option. As he matures I expect this horse to become stronger and naturally improve throughout the season.
Rogue Force – I thought he was unlucky not to win at Lingfield –he was clearly unsuited by the track but still managed to nearly win against some very smart opposition. Carrying a penalty can take a little out of them and he was a little quiet for a few days after the run. He is getting back to himself each day and I’m really pleased with how he looks physically. I thought his mark of 84 was very workable and I am very excited to see what he can do over a mile on turf. I love this horse and feel he could be a real flag bearer for us this year.
Rockett Man – He has really grown and I would like to see him put a little more condition on to fill his frame but he still looks well. He is back cantering and moving nicely - now the weather is better he can go in the paddock which should really help him. I feel this horse is well handicapped and there is much more to come from him this summer, now he is gelded he should be more tractable which will also help him. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do on the turf this season.
Holy Kingdom – Is enjoying some paddock time now the weather is better and continues to be a model patient. He looks absolutely fantastic and I love seeing him every morning, we have now done 8 months of rehab and it feels like there is a little light at the end of the tunnel. It is a long road ahead still but so far so good.
13.03.2021
So 2 runner yesterday Rogue Force at Lingfield and The Guvnor at wolverhampton. Rogue Force ran another fantastic race to finish 2nd the track didn't suit him with the tight final bend and he was following the godolphin horse who got in his way, the bend took him off balance and it took him a good few strides get get back on the correct leg once he sorted himself out he flew home, He will be suited to a big galloping track, i think he was the best horse in the race and i wouldn't swap him for anything.
The Guvnor took another step forward once again, he is still only a baby being a very late foal his is not officially 3 until 14th May, He is a very big horse who still needs to fill his frame but moves so well and shows us plenty , He needs a lot further but we are building him up slowly we have massive plans for this horse and hope he can take the same path as Holy Kingdom as a proper staying horse with time.
12.03.2021
El Picaro ran a very promising race first time out and we have plenty to build on. This horse was donated to the syndicate by Tony completely free, you won't get another syndicate do this. He was very very green and was very shouty before and during the race but he still had a nice change of speed and ran on to the line, overall very happy with him.

07.03.2021
Rogue Bear doing his first bit back, he travelled strong and he found it very easy, we have high hopes for this horse and has probably done the best bit of work i have ever seen before his break
07.03.2021
Eaglesglen (farside) doing his second bit back , he travelled great, which was really pleasing to see, from what his showing us the gelding and second wind op could see him go through the weights and up the handicap rather quick.
07.03.2021
Rogue Assassin (farside) Rogue Force (nearside) - going nicely over 6 furlongs this morning, straightforward work but really pleased with both of them, Assassin will be ready to go for the start of the turf season and Force has an entry next week over a mile, He has also been entered for the Guineas as week think he could be a bit special.
05.03.2021
Cash Machine looking fantastic up warren hill this morning , he has come on so much for his short break and can't wait to see him back on a racecourse
01.03.2021
Eaglesglen (farside) - doing a nice piece of work on the Cambridge Road, gelding looks to have really helped him. He looks great and I'm hoping we'll have him back out on the track in April all being well. It was also really pleasing to see he didn't make a noise when doing his first bit of fast work back. He's done some lovely training on Warren Hill grass and I'm looking forward to doing some faster work with him on the turf in the coming weeks.
01.03.2021
El Picaro (farside) - doing lovely piece of work over 6 furlongs on the Cambridge Road He is entered to make his racecourse debut over 7 furlongs at Kempton on the 10th March in a Median Auction.
28.02.2021 - Update from Tom.
Rogue Assassin - he looks great and has done two nice pieces of work so far, we really want him ready for some easy ground at the start of the turf and so we're very much hoping for a return to the track early on. He is moving well and is happy in himself. Fingers crossed for a smooth run from here on until we get him to the track, I'm very happy with how he is training so far.
Eaglesglen - Did a nice piece of work on the Cambridge Road on Saturday, gelding looks to have really helped him.
Crimewave - It was such a shame they went no gallop on Friday in what looked a weak race for the grade, the first two were up the front the whole way around and it was almost impossible to come from off the pace. It's also frustrating we were not a little further forward as he wasn't able to give a true account for himself. that said he has come out of his race okay and has enjoyed some time out in the field over the last couple of days. It's great that he has won a nice one for us already this year and I hope we can get him to go close again soon. He is a terrific horse, such a character and a real yard favourite.
Sugauli - He was very fresh out this morning and seems really happy in himself. I'm pleased with how he is progressing and he has grown plenty from 2 to 3. He was nowhere near the finished article last year and he is a very imposing horse now to stand up to. I'm not in too much of a rush with him and I hope he is a horse we can really enjoy through the turf season. I hope he will be extremely competitive of his mark and I hope that there is lots to look forward to with him.
El Picaro - He did a lovely piece of work over 6 furlongs onj he Cambridge Road on Saturday, I've been really pleased with how he has trained over the last month and I hope he can make his racecourse debut over 7 furlongs at Kempton on the 10th March in a Median Auction. He looks great, his stalls work has been fine so far and once we have got him to break well from the stalls then we can have a look at the Kempton race.
Rogue Missile - Jackie is really happy with how this filly is moving, she had some bone pain but after the time we gave her she is much more comfortable. She is a big girl weighing in at 500kg and she looks great. Hopefully she can continue going the right way and we can think about a piece of work for her soon.
Rogue Power - He is cantering nicely and looks well in himself, he is training well but is a late maturing sort, he did some nice work as a two year old despite still being immature and now he is older and stronger I'm hoping he will have taken a good step forward when we step him up to some fast work.
The Guvnor - He is fresh and well out and happy in himself. I will jump him from the stalls again just to make sure he is quick away next time and after a bad experience at the disappointing starting procedure at Wolves last time. All being well there are a couple of options for him at Lingfield and Wolverhampton on 10/12 March. I am sure he will shape with promise again and give us plenty to look forward to when we step him up in trip on the grass. Off the right mark he is extremely exciting and as we know there are lots of valuable staying 3yo races we can aim at.
Cash Machine - This horse looks great and has strengthened up a lot over the winter. He weighs nearly 520kg so will take plenty of getting fit. He is moving well and I'll step up his work gradually over the coming weeks. We know he is an exciting sprinter for the late spring/summer.
Rogue Bear - Gelding seems to have really helped him in his training and I couldn't be happier with where he is in his training. He is moving great and I'll look to start his faster work in a couple of weeks. I am really looking forward to seeing him in his faster paces - he looked so exciting last year and did some exceptional work.
Rogue Force - He has come out of his win at Kempton in great shape. He did it really well and I Ioved how he lowered his head and galloped strongly to the the line. He is very exciting and I hope can develop into a real flag bearer for the Rogues. He needs another run in novice company for a mark - if he remains well we could consider Lingfield (there are two options 13/19 March) over a mile, to me it looks like he is crying out for the step up in trip.
Rockett Man - He had a couple of easy weeks after being gelded and is now back trotting. He looks to have grown and I feel he could be very well handicapped when we get him on a straight five furlongs on turf. He has a lot of filling out today and is still unfurnished, I feel he is a horse who should get faster the older he gets and his pedigree would back this up.
Holy Kingdom - He looks fantastic and is actually really close to his racing weight, we havent allowed him to get too heavy in order to reduce the strain on his tendon. He continues to be a model patient and will enjoy some time out in the paddock this week.New Paragraph

Rogue Force
Wow! Since Christmas this horse has trained so well and has grown up a huge amount having been a little nervy as a two year old. He behaved well at the races, didn't get warm and stood in the stalls for a long time, (all things that a horse must do in order to be a good racehorse). Jack did really well to get a good position from a wide draw and gave him a lovely ride. I really like the way the horse lowers himself when asked to quicken and the way he ran right through the line was extremely exciting. The last 100 yards and in the manner he put the race to bed was fantastic to watch. This horse has a lovely pedigree from the family of Princess Loulou and I hope he is one who can take us to some great days on the turf this season. Another really exciting prospect for us.
15.02.2021 - Update from Tom
Crimewave - He is very happy with himself since his victory at Lingfield. He is fresh and well and training nicely. It's also great to see him running a career best at the age of 5 and being able to achieve a mark of 81. There are a couple of options for him back at Lingfield. One on the 26th a 76-95 and one on the 27th a 61-80, It's probably worth entering in both and taking a view, although at this stage I feel he could really enjoy running off a low weight in a higher grade. Also, having had a good break we're going to get Laura back riding this weekend and it will be nice to keep the partnership going with Crimewave.
Eaglesglen - He looks really well in himself and is training nicely. A few of the turf canters/gallops open in the coming weeks and I'm looking forward to seeing him train back on the grass. He is moving great and I'm happy with him, we'll look to do his first fast piece of work in the next couple of weeks. He's a big strong horse and I believe there is plenty of value in his mark.
Rogue Assassin - Did his first piece of easy work on Saturday on the Alba. He did a solo on his own (which is something I often do with a horse having his first bit of work ) and did it very comfortably. He is moving well and I'm really happy with his progress. As I've said previously we want him to be ready for the start of the turf where we should get our favoured easy ground. I'm also really excited to see him over 6 furlongs.
Sugauli - This horse looks terrific. He has done very well physically and is starting to come to hand. He has grown plenty and I'm looking forward to stepping up his work load. I feel he remains a top of the ground horse and so I'm not in a huge hurry with him as ideally we want this horse to be peaking through May, June, July and August. I've always held this horse in high regard and now gelded, to me he is a exciting prospect for the 2021 turf season.
El Picaro - This horse worked again on Saturday on the Alba. He is a big horse and is not the finished article, however his work has improved each week and I feel he is nearing his time to make a racecourse debut. At this stage I would think 7 furlongs would be the correct starting distance for him and there is a median auction maiden at Lingfield on the 3rd March for us to consider. If he jumps well from the stalls and gallops well this week this race would look a likely target.
Rogue Missile - She is fresh and well in herself and Jackie is happy with her. She has been finding her routine canter work straightforward and I'm pleased with how she is moving. We'll continue to step up her work load as she allows us and hopefully build up to a piece of work soon. She has grown and is a big fine filly.
The Guvnor - He was so green on debut at Kempton two weeks ago but he hardly blew after the race , he has done everything right up to the race it just came as a shock to the system for him. He has been training really well since the race and I'm happy with him, hopefully he has learnt plenty from the experience and he will be more professional upped in trip at Wolves on Wednesday. I'm hoping he will now concentrate on what is being asked of him, he will run in a fluffy nose band to try and help him. He has been training in this well at home.
Rogue Power - This horse is back cantering and has done well for the break. He has been doing one canter up Warren Hill and we will pick up his training in the coming weeks. He looks well in himself and is happy to be back out on the heath. He is clearly a late maturing sort who is taking his time but he has a good pedigree and its good to see him much more furnished now. He also did plenty of training as a two year old and so I would hope that now he is back cantering he should come to hand relatively quickly.
Rogue Bear - He has been cantering away and looks super. Since he's been gelded he does seem more focused on his training and he is moving very well. He had done plenty of work before he was cut and so I would hope that he is only a couple of weeks away from doing a piece of work. I'm really happy with him and I'll try and get a video of him over to you this week.
Cash Machine - He is also back cantering and has really strengthened. He is a bull of a horse and so strong. He canters up Warren Hill with ease, he's moving well and is as fresh as paint. We'll continue to pick up his work load before thinking about a piece of work for him. I feel that we want this horse to be running in some decent races this summer and so will train him to try and be at his best for this time.
Rockett Man - I was pleased with his effort in first time handicap company last week. Jack did very well to avoid an accident and to lose that much momentum over a 5 furlong race is always difficult to do. He is still leggy and has his frame to fill but ultimately he needs to settle better in his races, gelding him should help this Equiano's as a rule can also benefit from being gelded. He is another exciting prospect for the Rogues and I'm really looking forward to seeing him over a fast run straight 5f on the turf this season, which should be his optimum conditions.
Rogue Force - Has trained really pleasingly since making his really goof debut at Chelmsford, he has been fresh and well at home but is relaxed in his training and not getting warm like he used to. Jack rode him work over 6 furlongs on the Cambridge Road last Wednesday and was really happy with him. He is declared to run on Wednesday and Kempton and I hope he can put up another promising performance. He looks great and I'm looking forward to running him.
Holy Kingdom - Continues his rehab well, he remains a model patient and has held his condition well. He is still on the walker twice a day for 1 hour which he enjoys playing about on. hopefully we are through the cold snap now and we can start turning him back out in the paddocks which no doubt he will love.
13.02.2021
Rogue Assassin doing a swinging canter this morning, He is moving very well and he will be ready for the first races when the turf season starts
The Guvnor is entered to run wednesday at wolverhampton.
09.02.2021
Rockett Man’s second visit to Wolverhampton was an interesting race . Drawn on the inside he got out well but was severely impeded by the favourite on the bend , almost stopping him in his tracks . He lost momentum but hit the line well , finishing third & ahead of the favourite. All things considered , another encouraging run for the Rockett .
04.02.2021 - Update from Tom
Crimewave - I was absolutely thrilled to see him win the feature so well at Lingfield on Friday. He is such a lovely horse and thoroughly deserved to get another win to his name. He seems to really thrive at this time of year and his record at Lingfield speaks for itself. Some people say horses don't know when they have won. This is not true, Crimewave behaved like an absolute hooligan on Saturday, he was dancing around his stable as pleased as punch with himself. It was a career best performance and he looked to enjoy not having any headgear on for a change. Laura got a good tune out of him and gave him a fine ride. We'll see how he is but hopefully we can get him back to Lingfield over 10 furlongs. There are two potential options for him on 26th/27th February depending on how the handicapper assesses him tomorrow.
Eaglesglen - He has trained nicely over the last couple of weeks and we are increasing his work load. He cantered twice up Long Hill last week and I'm pleased with how he is shaping up. He seems very happy in himself and we will continue to step up his workload throughout the next couple of weeks before we think about giving him a fast piece of work. He is moving well and I am really looking forward to seeing this horse on the turf.
Rogue Assassin - He is also stepping up his work load and is up to doing two canters. This horse looks great and he is moving well. He looks well in his coat and is enjoying his training. We really want this horse to be ready early on in the turf season. He clearly wants cut in the ground and six furlongs should be ideal for him. He'll look to do his first easy bit of work in a couple of weeks and build up from there.
El Picaro - He took a good step forward in his fast work this week. Laura rode him and sat second over six furlongs on the Cambridge Road. He had been quite green in previous weeks but travelled strongly this time and moved up to the lead horse easily. Hopefully he will continue to learn and improve with each gallop. He is a big, strong horse who is coming on nicely.
Rogue Missile - This filly continues to move well and is enjoying being out in her trotting exercise. She looks really well in herself and is eating up nicely. She is due to start cantering at the end of the week and it will be great to bet her back going. Jackie is still riding her and is happy with how she is going.
Sugauli - This horse looks terrific, he is an extremely handsome individual who has been training well. I'm very happy with how he is shaping up and he looks to have done really well from 2 to 3 years old. He has been cantering up Warren Hill and Long Hill and I will continue to gently increase his work. There is not a massive rush with him as ideally I would like him to be at his peak through June, July, August on summer ground and in nice races.
Rogue Power - Is back trotting and has done well physically for his break, he has put on some condition and is well in himself. He is trotting with a bungee on to help build up his top line and make him use himself correctly. He has a lot of life in him and it's good to see him back under tack.
The Guvnor - Saturday came as a bit of a shock to the system for him, he couldn't take it all in and was a little star struck. However, he was hardly blowing afterwards and didn't have much of a race, it all just happened a bit quick for him. He has come out of the race fine and was fresh and well trotting this morning. Hopefully this racecourse experience will really help him grow up and make him realise what we are asking him to do. He has done some exciting fast work on the gallops and hopefully next time he will relay this to the track. There is a 10 furlong Novice at Chelmsford next Friday which we can look at if he's okay.
Cash Machine - He is back trotting and is like a Bull out. He is an extremely strong colt and is all muscle, he is built like a typical sprinter. He has grown a little but still has some growing in front to do, I'd like to think that this will continue to happen through the spring. He is moving really nicely, It's great to see him back out and he is a really exciting prospect for the Rogues.
Rogue Bear - Is already settling down a little for being gelded. It takes about a month for the testosterone to come out of the system but he is already benefiting from having been cut. He will trot for a little longer before we start him back cantering. Hopefully now he will be much more tractable and he will be able to fully concentrate on being a fast racehorse. He looks super and this horse has a lot of potential having shown to be extremely talented in his fast work last year.
Rockett Man - Paul gave this horse a piece of work on Saturday and he went really nicely over 5 furlongs. He still has filling out to do but he looks great and I'm happy with him. He will get an entry tomorrow for Wolverhampton next Monday over 5 furlongs in an 0-75. It was great to get the form boost and see Supercontango come out and win last week, hopefully this bodes well for us. Fingers crossed he can run another good race.
Rogue Force - I was so pleased with this horse's debut at Chelmsford last week. The winner La Tihaty is clearly a nice horse (OR 90) and to run him to half a length was very encouraging. Jack was very complimentary about him and said if they'd gone more of a gallop he would have won and if he'd got a gap sooner he would have won. He's come out of his race well, and is settling down nicely at home having been quite hot in some of his training previously. He is another really exciting prospect for the Rogues.
There is a possible option for him on the 17th at kempton over seven furlongs in a maiden.
Holy Kingdom - Having had his leg scanned last week, he is recovering as you would hope at this stage. The hole in his tendon has filled in but still needs to strengthen. The leg handles well, he is on the walker twice a day and we are constantly managing the injury. We still have a way to go but it's very much a case of so far so good. He looks good and it's great to think we have already done six months of his rehab.
Laura Pearson. As you may have read in the press, we are giving Laura Febuary off and so unfortunately she won't be available to ride for the duration of this month. The main reason is that we really want her to be claiming 5lbs for Royal Ascot where we hope she will have a good book of rides which will help her learn a huge amount. We also want her to get as much experience as we can on the turf as she has done the majority of her winning on the all-weather. She is currently 6 wins clear to be champion all-weather apprentice and so now is the right time for her to have a break. I know she is extremely grateful for the rides on The Rogue horses and I know she would love to get the opportunity to ride for you again.
30.01.2021
El Picaro (nearside) going nicely over 6f, He sat second and picked up well, He has taken a good step forward from his last bit of work, He looks very well and is training nicely, he is getting better all the time and moves great for such a big horse.
26.01.2021
Rockett Man stretching out over 5f this morning on the Cambridge Road, He is training very well and won't be far away from another run
19.01.2021
Due to our continued success and growth over the past 2 seasons we are expanding. We are getting more and more members from up North, we really do appreciate their support so we think its only fair that we send one of the horses from the new 4/5 horse syndicate up north to Middleham, to be trained by Ed Bethell at Thorngill, Ed took over from his father James bethell's this year and is exactly what we look for in a trainer.
Take a look at his website www.bethellracing.co.uk he has a fantastic set up.
Ed began his work experience with bloodstock agent James Delahooke, the man who unearthed champion Dancing Brave for Prince Khalid Abdullah. He then spent several months under the tutelage of Newmarket maestro William Haggas, whose string at the time included top-class duo Mukhadram and Dancing Rain.
Following a stint as pupil assistant to his father at Thorngill, where his duties ranged from riding work on the gallops to making entries and looking after owners at the races, Edward began an internship at US auction house Fasig-Tipton, gaining a superb insight into bloodstock sales. He also worked as a stud groom at the famed Coolmore Stud in Ireland, handling some of the world’s top broodmares.
A pupil assistant role with Australian legend Gai Waterhouse saw Edward enjoy seven months down under. He assisted with the breaking in of yearlings, rode track work on some of the best horses in the yard, saddled runners at the races, and helped with all aspects of office work, from race planning to writing blogs for the trainer’s website.
In April 2016, Edward became assistant trainer to Charlie Hills in Lambourn, working with a number of high-class performers including outstanding sprinter Battaash. From there he went to work for Francois Rohaut in France, helping to manage a stable of 120 horses, riding out, travelling horses to the races and writing monthly horse reports. More recently Edward has acted as assistant trainer to Robert Cowell just outside of Newmarket.
Edward understands the importance of excellent communication with owners and the increasingly vital role of digital technology and social media in horse racing. He is determined to build on the achievements of his father, who trained for 46 years and won plenty of good races.
Rogues Gallery Saving Club
Other syndicates are charging their members thousands extra for the privilege of joining there syndicate and in most cases you’re leasing a share not even becoming a full owner.
I believe that our success this year will be second to none and as another incentive for Rogues members I have come up with the Rogues Gallery Savings Club.
I intend to spend 120 to 150 thousand at the breeze ups in April, meaning all Shares will be £1000 whether there’s 120 or 150 shares.
Monthly training fees we are estimating at approximately:
4 horse syndicate £55.00 p/m ( this covers all 4 horses )
5 horse syndicate £68.00 p/m ( this covers all 5 horses )
(that’s for 150 shares)
If you’re interested in joining the new 4/5 horse syndicate for £1000 plus monthly training fees by using our Saving Club you will commit to buy a share/s and you can start paying instalments from now until June/July when the balance will be due.
I’m hoping this will benefit current members that would like to be involved and will save bringing in as many new members as logistically for jade on her own it’s becoming stretched.
If you would like to register your interest in the Savings Club please let Jade know as she is keeping a list of people keen to get involved I think as it stands 82 shares are already sold.
06.01.2021
I hope you are very well and a very Happy New Year to you.
Eaglesglen. He started back cantering on Monday after his Wind Op and as ever looks terrific. He is a very good looking horse and always showed plenty of ability on the gallops.I am particularly looking forward to running him on good ground on the turf as I believe this will be his optimum conditions, I would very much hope there is more to come from this horse. He will continue to canter through January before we think about doing anything faster with him.
Rogue Assassin. He is back trotting and is moving nicely. Iffraaj's often get better with age and I very much hope this horse could have an exciting season on the turf, I can see this horse running in some nice handicaps through the 2021 season. He clearly wants ease in the ground and I hope 6 furlongs will be ideal for him. I feel this horse has a lot more to give the Rogues and I'm excited to start stepping him up.
Crimewave. He looks to be in really good form. He ran so well at kempton where he possibly ran a career best and just bumped into a well handicapped horse, unfortunately the handicapper put us up a pound for that effort. I'm looking forward to running him back over the extended mile at Wolves, he hasn't run over that course and distance since he was a very good second to New King in a Novice there. I'm not sure how the favourite Toronado Queen was dropped 3 lbs for her good second last time, but to me although it's competitive there looks to be nothing with plenty in hand going through the race. If it goes right for us I hope he will be very close.
Sugauli. Is back cantering as of Monday. This horse has grown and is filling his frame well. He is such an easy moving hore who I believe has some nice wins in him this season. He is a really good looking horse and I hope he'll take us to some nice races this season. He'll continue to canter through January and we'll do plenty of conditioning work with him. I see him starting off over a mile at this stage.
El Picaro. He did his first easy bit down the Cambridge Road yesterday morning. He was green but I was pleased how he went and it's a good starting point for us to build on. He has grown plenty and I would think be the tallest horse you have. We will continue to pick up his work as he lets us and tells us he is ready to do so.
Rogue Missile. This filly has bone pain in her front legs as a result of being trained quite hard for a sustained period. She should get over this fine but it just means we have to be easy on her until the soreness has gone. She is a scopey, attractive filly who has a good outlook and I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do.
The Guvnor. This horse did a lovely piece of work down the Cambridge Road last Thursday. they went steady early on but picked up nicely and I was extremely pleased how this horse galloped out. He looks better each week and he trains better each week. I put him in the stalls last night and he jumped out of them for the first time this morning and so far he has behaved well. This horse is very intelligent and I feel he is trying to please us. He will need to do a decent piece of work beforehand but there is a possible option for him at Kempton on 30th January over a mile. All being well this could be a nice starting point for him.
Rogue Power. He is having a break after having done some nice work through the Autumn. He had run up a bit light and giving him some time will help him put on condition and strengthen. He is an exciting prospect and I feel a rest will do him so much good. Once he has had his break I would hope he will come back a much stronger horse.
Rogue Bear. Has his last week trotting before he starts cantering again next week. He is so fresh and well and looks fantastic. He is extremely athletic and he has strengthened a huge amount. He looks a very exciting prospect for The Rogues and I'm looking forward to seeing him back cantering.
Rogue Force. Worked very nicely under Jack last Thursday. He sat third and picked up really well when asked. He behaves well and trains nicely however, this horse is quite a free sweater (it could be just the Iffraaj in him). I put him in the stalls last night and he jumped for the first time out of the stalls this morning, he has behaved well during his stalls work so far. All being well and if we're happy with him there is a possible option for him at Chelmsford on the 22nd over 7 furlongs.
Cash Machine. This horse looks to be really benefiting from a break, he needed to come up in front and he is doing so. Once he has leveled off I feel he could be quite a talented horse for the Rogues, Popmaster who beat him on debut is highly regarded and and i'm really looking forward to seeing how far this horse can go on the turf this season. He has shown us that he has speed and with his pedigree who knows how far he could go.
Rockett Man. This horse did a lovely blow down the Cambridge Road yesterday, he just did a solo over 5 furlongs but he couldn't have done it much better and I'm looking forward to seeing him run over 5 furlongs at Chelmsford on Saturday. He is moving well and the horse looks to be in good form. Being by Equiano, a half to Balsteros and with the speed he showed us last time over 6 furlongs at Kempton, 5 furlongs looks like being his ideal trip. Fingers crossed, he should go very close.
Holy Kingdom. His leg handles better each week and he is proving to be a very good patient. He looks great for a horse who is on the easy list and I'm happy with how he is progressing. It's a long process but HK seems to be very happy in himself.
30.11.2020 - Update from Tom
Crimewave
I was thrilled to see him back to himself and being very competitive again. He ran a hugely gallant race giving 10 and 11 lbs to the second and third while in the process clocking an impressive time. I'm also pleased to report he has come out of the race well. There are a few possible options for him coming up however unfortunately nothing at Lingfield and no 0-75 bracket. There are extra fixtures being added to the programme though and we will keep a daily lookout for any suitable races.
Eaglesglen
Has come out of his wind surgery well. His left vocal cord was significantly obstructing the airflow into his lungs and so has been removed. The vets feel that this operation could have a marked improvement on his ability as a racehorse. He will be on the walker until Christmas whereupon he can start trotting. His work has always been better on the turf and all being well he could be dangerously handicapped for next season.
Rogue Assassin
Is enjoying a break and time out in the field. I feel this is the right thing for the horse as I believe he will be at his best on easy ground in the spring and the break will help him to. He is off a dangerous handicap mark and he remains an exciting horse to have in the yard for next season.
El Picaro
This horse is finding his work easier. He is enjoying his exercise and he continues to progress. All being well we can look to some faster work with him by the end of next week. He is a very tall horse and has plenty of filling out to do but he is showing encouraging signs.
The Guvnor
I have been really pleased with this horse's progress. He cantered very well up Long Hill this morning and took his rider up there with ease, he is travelling much better in his canter work. He comes forward each week and I hope to get him down the Cambridge Road soon. He is continually developing more muscle and I think he is an eyeful to look at. I hope he continues to progress, he is exciting to watch train in the mornings.
Rogue Power
Did his half speed over 6 furlongs on the Cambridge Road with ease this week. He has strengthened considerably and enjoys his work as he finds it straightforward. He still has filling out to do however and so it is encouraging to see him train well when he is not near to being the finished article. As I have previously said I feel he will relish easy ground and so it's all the more encouraging to see him go well on the all-weather. That said he is a nice moving horse and again is exciting to have another horse with a bright future training well.
Rogue Force
Enjoyed his half speed over 6 furlongs down the cambridge Road this week and this was his first experience down there. He sat third, travelled fine and when asked was a little green but ultimately picked up well. He very much enjoyed the experience and found it very straightforward. I was really encouraged to see him go well and look forward to seeing how he gets on going a stride faster down there next week
Rogue Bear
This horse looks great and is due to start trotting again on Monday. I'm really looking forward to seeing him back under a rider and out in the string. The surgery went very well and you can hardly see where he has had the operation. He did a lovely piece of work before his set back and has shown that he is a talented racehorse. All being well he is another extremely exciting prospect for the Rogues next season
Rockett Man
He has trained well over the past few days. He has taken a little time to get over his first run but he seems back to himself. Annoyingly there currently aren't any more median auction or maiden Auction races coming up so he may have to keep to open company. However, as I have previously said there are more fixtures being added to the programme and I will ask them if they could put on a suitable race if Rockett Man is ready to run again
Cash Machine
I was absolutely delighted with his debut run at Kempton on Wednesday to be second. He took everything in his stride, behaved well, jumped nicely and ran a super race. He will no doubt come on for the run both mentally and physically as he was still green, particularly in the last furlong. Ed walker holds the winner Pop Master in very high regard and so to run so close to him on debut was brilliant as there should be plenty of natural improvement from Cash. He went for a trot this morning and looks to have come out of his race well. He will need a break at some stage as he has some growing to do and we want him for the turf next season, however if he trains well and there is a suitable option then perhaps we could look to give another run before a break. As ever, just see how the horse is and he'll tell us if he wants to race again.
Rogue Missile
She looks lovely and has settled in immediately, she is eating and doing well and i'm looking forward to seeing her under some tack in the morning. Dandy Man is a great sire and this filly is from the family of Ardkinglass who won the Group 3 Jersey at Royal Ascot. She looks racey, has a lovely head, deep girth and looks strong. She's a lovely size and looks a lovely acquisition. When she breezed she was very much in season and wouldn't go, but she had a stride and looks like she can gallop.
Sugauli
He is doing well physically for his spell trotting, he looks fantastic and is putting on condition, you can see him strengthening all the time and off his mark is really exciting for the turf next season.. We'll look to get him cantering around Christmas.
Holy Kingdom
He's on the walker for an hour twice a day and his leg handles better all the time. As I have previously said it is a long process with him but he carries himself well and we've already done 3 months of his rehab. I look forward to showing him to you on the open day.
It is fantastic to hear you have got to 130 members and great to see the Rogues growing all the time. They are a hugely exciting bunch of horses to look forward to.
18.11.2020 - Update from Tom Clover
Crimewave
It was frustrating for racing to be abandoned at Kempton, however I feel it was the correct decision as visibility was very poor and the safety of horse and rider is paramount. He's continued to train well and he is fresh and well out on the gallops. he is entered saturday over 10 furlongs at Lingfield. I am hoping we can put the last disappointing run behind us and enjoy him running his usual consistent races throughout the Winter. He is of a dangerous handicap mark and hopefully he runs a bug race saturday.
Rogue Assassin
His foot has cleared right up and he has been out cantering on the heath for the last two days. He is moving really well now and I'm pleased with him. I felt his run at Leicester showed a lot of promise, he looks like on easy ground he is sharp enough for 6 (his pedigree would back this up) and to travel as well as he did on heavy ground with 11 stone 1 on his back having lost a shoe was a good performance. I feel this horse has a lot more to give the Rogues.
Eaglesglen
Get in!!! I was thrilled to see him win at Chelmsford under a great ride from Jack. He did it nicely and I'm pleased to report he has come out of the race well. He is very well bred and a real eyeful to look at, He will be now slowly be winding down over the winter bringing him out fresh for the start of the turf season where we are hoping he can improve massively.
Rogue Force
This colt is going better each week. He particularly enjoys cantering up long Hill grass and I'm really pleased to see him putting in some good training. He is still training with a hood on but this is just to help keep him relaxed and I will take it off him when he is ready. He is a lovely sized horse with an attractive head and he is an exciting prospect.
Rogue Bear
He is back walking and it's great to see him out of his stable. He started off walking in hand for ten minutes twice a day before building it up to half an hour twice a day on the walker. We will take a look at him with my vet on 27th to determine if we can start trotting him. This horse has retained a lot of his muscle after doing some extremely pleasing work under Jack. He has shown he is a talented horse and as the surgery has been successful he has a very good prognosis for the future.
Cash Machine
He did a lovely piece of work on the Cambridge road this morning. Paul (HK's rider) rode and he had a very solid lead horse. CM travelled well and when Paul asked him he came upsides going very nicely indeed, CM could have put some distance between him and the lead horse if asked. He has improved with each piece of work and he is nearing a racecourse debut, we have entered him at kempton on wednesday 25th over 6f.
Rockett Man
I was absolutely delighted with his debut 4th at Wolverhampton last week. He behaved well, was good in the stalls, broke well, settled nicely and saw it out great. The first three could all be nice horses and all had racecourse experience, so to be green and run with promise I felt it was a great starting point for him. He has come out of his race okay, he is moving and eating well but he is not popping like he was before Wolves. If he comes back to hand in time then we will look at the Novice Auction for him at Kempton on the 25th as well, I hope this would be a good opportunity for him as we wouldn't have to take on as expensive horses as at Wolves.
The Guvnor
He is taking quite a considerable amount of training. He did two canters up Warren Hill yesterday and cantered very nicely up Long Hill grass this morning, he is training better each week. He can still be full of himself and a handful for his rider Seb (particularly on a Monday morning!) however he does seem to be concentrating and enjoying his work more. I am really enjoying watching him train at the moment, he is showing a lot of good signs for next season.
Rogue Power
He also cantered up Long Hill grass this morning. This son of Pivotal clearly loved the soft underfoot conditions as he cantered up there with ease. He is training better each week and it's very pleasing to see these late maturing horses doing some good training in the Autumn of their two year old year. Pivotal has had another excellent season siring two Group 1 winners on Champions day at Ascot.
El Picaro
This horse is a little behind the others but has done some pleasing training. He is coming forward and is fresh and well out on the gallops. He is a handsome colt who has a big frame to fill and we will continue to train him as he allows us too. He's an athletic, well balanced horse.
Sugauli
He is winding down nicely from his training and is currently trotting. He looks great and hasn't stopped growing, he is an imposing horse who should do well physically from two to three. Off his mark I feel he could be a progressive horse next year as there should be a lot of natural improvement from him all being well.
18.10.2020

22.09.2020- Update from Tom
Holy Kingdom - He is on the walker twice a day and looks very well. It is absolutely fantastic we're giving him another go, he will take time but there are so many valuable races he is eligible for to target all being well. He doesn't have a huge amount of miles on the clock and if we get him right this horse still has a huge amount to offer.

Crimewave -
He is in good form since his great run at Kempton. We are back at Lingfield today where he has won twice over course and distance. He is only two lbs higher than his last winning mark and I hope he will put up a big show again today from a decent draw in 5. Hollie Doyle is in the saddle who is riding out of her skin. We will ask her to get a handy position and ride her race from there. Crimewave has to give a fair bit of weight away to some 3 year olds who might have a bit in hand in Systemic, Born a King and Zeimaam but he goes in there in great form and loves it around Lingfield.
Eaglesglen - I was thrilled with his good third last night at Wolverhampton. He has had his well documented issues but last night was a massive confidence booster for the horse. This horse clearly wants further with his half brother not beaten far over a stiff 14 furlongs and Eaglesglen is now ready to be upped in trip. They didn't go much of a gallop last night and subsequently the winner who made all was able to kick from the front. All being well we now have a horse to really enjoy in the immediate future and hopefully get him in the winners enclosure soon.
Rogue Assassin - He is back to being in good form after taking a little while to come to hand since Windsor. He clearly wants to get his toe in and it has been nice to see both Confide and Ilaraab win again recently and the form of his Thirsk run looks very good. He should also go very well on the all-weather. He worked well this morning. Possible options for him are.
Rogue Power -
He looks terrific and is finding his training easier all the time. He is doing a lot of Side Hill and Long Hill which he finds straightforward. He has done a lot of training and is a really exciting prospect. He has the looks and pedigree of a good horse as well as having ability.
The Guvnor - It is great to have him back cantering, he covers the ground well and looks so much better for his break. He canters up Warren Hill nicely and he is a lovely horse to watch train in the mornings. We will continue to step up his training when he tells us when he is ready to do so. Its great to have him back on the heath.
Sugauli - Worked very well under Jack Mitchell this morning. He still gets warm but I think that is just him. He did have a bit of a blow however and Sunday may come too soon for him. He has grown and remains a very exciting prospect.
El Picaro - He is a big horse with a huge frame to fill and weighs 495kg! He has done some decent training and is a good actioned horse, he is a good looking individual too. Hopefully we can start to think about a piece of fast work for him soon. He is a straightforward horse with a good mind.
Rogue Bear - Did a very good piece of work last Friday on the Cambridge Road. They went as good gallop and RB sat third, Jack just had to shake the reins at him and he flew (it is difficult to come from third on the Cambridge Road) Jack said he could have put 5 lengths between himself and his lead horse. He is a hugely exciting prospect who just needs time.
Rockett Man - Quickened up very nicely on the Cambridge Road this morning and he also looks a talented horse. They didn't go very quick early on but he couldn't have done his exercise much better. Equiano's do need a little time and we mustn't rush him as he is a horse who could have a big future. He has done everything asked of him with ease and he touch wood he also looks to have a good mind.
Cash Machine - Did his half speed with Rockett Man this morning. He lead this morning and went very nicely as well. Both him and Rockett Man are improving and learning with each trip down the Cambridge Road. He still has some growing to do but he looks great and is another exciting horse for the team.
Rogue Force - Looks fantastic and is a very good looking horse. He is very much like his sire Iffraaj and I hope he has a big future ahead of him. He will take time but is a lovely late maturing type who I like a lot. He is moving well and all the signs are encouraging at this stage.
Derivanti - Is broken in and will be out on the heath soon. he has been very straightforward thus far and looks to have a good action. he is a solid good looking horse with a nice pedigree.
